Why Japan’s woes are a wet dream to the Green movement

This current and unfolding events in Japan are an ever expanding tragedy. At todays count 21,000 people are missing and presumed dead. The scale of the disaster is both mesmerising and traumatising.

But despite all this real world horror, the green movement never let’s a good crisis go to waste.

Whilst details of Japan’s nuclear problems remain, perhaps deliberately, vague in the western media; one aspect has been made perfectly clear. Nukes are not the future! Not at least in the Green parties eyes.

Now clearly, things have gone south in the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant to a great extent. With two critical safety systems being found to be faulty. But what isn’t being mentioned in all the reporting is the fact that the reactors were in fact shut down and put in storage.
