A new charity called SaferMedia has launched a campaign to fight against the sexualisation of society (good luck on that one).
On Monday it organised around 70 delegates from a range of concerned organisations to meet in the Grand Committee Room at Westminster for it’s launch. Speakers included Pamela Paul, author of Pornified, John Woods, a consultant psychotherapist at the Portman Clinic and Nola Leach, chief executive of Christian charity CARE.
Some had good points, others…. meh.
But if you want to totally discredit any organisation, what you need is a shill to make some totally stupid statement that allows any old Tom, Dick or Pedant to dive in and take the piss. So… here I am.
One speaker cited an ad for Mikado chocolate biscuits, which was described as a “pre-pubescent girl having her fanny photographed”.
Here is the Mikado advert, and don’t worry you’ll not be arrested for child pornography.
Clearly, to this speaker “they” all look alike to him. To everybody else, this is CLEARLY a grown woman, and not even a late teenager.
